3, Degree in Computer Science but a novice at electronics. I learn what I need to know to have a go at fixing whatever I'm working on. I have etched my own pcbs from plans and fixed the macbook I'm using to type this after buying it on ebay with a broken keyboard and keyboard connector. Revived a few arcade pcbs with chip replacements and trace fixing. Basic stuff to you guys I'm sure.
4, I will try and fix anything, electronic or not. Hot Tubs, Cars, watches, ZX Spectrums, plumbing. I like to know how things work. But there is a limit as i have no formal training. Currently trying to fix an MSI gaming laptop using the Electronics Repair School youtube channel. I have got as far as working out the 3.3v line is working but the laptop is not turning on. Apparently the Super IO chip is maybe the next thing to check. I have come to learn about BIOS Chips and their programming.
