Hey everyone,
I’m building a custom control panel and added the PS22F02 direct key switch for mode selection. It seemed right for the job, but I’ve hit a snag:
The switch activation feels inconsistent, sometimes it doesn’t latch properly when I press it. I’m using it on a PCB with 6 mm trace length from the switch to the MCU pin and the board flexes a bit when mounted. I’m not sure whether the issue is the switch tolerance, poor solder joints, or the fact it’s near the high-vibration environment of a motor housing.
Has anyone used the PS22F02 in a similar application? I’d love tips on soldering technique, pad/footprint layout, or selecting a better variant if this one’s not ideal.
Thanks in advance, your advice would really help me get this panel stable!
