I have a clean Asus TUV4X motherboard that appears to have standby power with the motherbaord LED lighting up but won't turn on (CPU fan not turning on) and no beeps from onboard buzzer.
I have inspected the CPU which is a 1 GHz SL5GR and the pins looks pristine and also the CPU socket looks normal, no sign of any overheating. I have reinserted and applied thermal grease and same issue. I removed RAM to test for any beeps, but also nothing.
The electrolytic caps are all looking okay. no bulging or leaking and are of the well known japanese brand Nichicon. I know about the capacitor plague and I have other motherboards that has blging and leaking caps especially the VRM caps and even the smaller caps in the RAM area and the PCI area. So the issue is likely not the caps on this board.
I would appreciate specifically if somebody has a schematic to able to test voltages also in areas other than the VRM. Thanks in advance for any help..
