La-7912p rev:1.0 Q5WVh power down after few seconds

Hi Im working on this motherboard. When on standby PCh get very hot. Sometimes unit will not start fan and only +3valw and +5Alws voltages present. Other times when the unit is cold fan starts and many other voltages come but always unit shuts down after startup and cannot start again until power is removed and reinserted. Also I do not have schematic for rev:1.0 only .2 and .3.

 

Any help would be appreciated

hi,try to rewrite the big bios(pch)

I have 2 boards with problems ..start.. but don´t work the fan end no video..

Thank you for the reply/ Does your motherboards PCH get very very hot when its switched off. Also do you mean the 8 pin bios chip near the wifi port and the PCH chip u36? Also does the bios package from manufacturers come with both this and the main bios in seperate files or are they the one file ? if so how to seperate both bios from 1 file?

you need to get separate bios´files

if you need ,i have..send me a e-mail i get the file to you

But,if you have a hot ploblem in  HM ,in stand bye mode,i think is necessary to replace it..

If you can that would be. I downloaded bios file from Packard bells website but I cant see a .bin or .rom only a .dll file thats bigger than the rest.

So I reflashed both Bios and PCh bios and still the same unfortunately

O procedimento correto é,  informar somente o link para o arquivo.

Se o usuário fez um tópico nos padrões, como é o caso desse, com identificação da placa, e testes realizados, você pode dar a ele um joinha  e ele irá conseguir baixar o arquivo necessário pelo gerenciador do fórum!
